My questions...your answers
How big of a house would you like to have?
Published on August 13, 2006 By Question of the Day In Home & Family
My husband and I have 1300sq ft. Two bedrooms, two baths with a full (unfinished) basement. His office is upstairs. Downstairs I have all my stuff set up.

Our perfect setup would be 2500 sq ft with:

four bedrooms or three bedrooms and a four season room
two bathrooms
great room
chef's kitchen
a REAL laundry room
oh, almost forgot my husbands three car garage

How about you?

My adult son and I share a 700 Sq. foot apt.,  2 bedrooms,  1 bath, living room, long narrow kitchen with no room for table and chairs, a utility room for the washer and dryer and one closet for coats.  Not counting the closet we each have in our own rooms.

I"m getting my own place in late autumn,  hope to have in space at least what we two share now,  or else bigger.

If I could have a house,  would love an old farm house,  about 1200 sq. ft.  long as it had a place for horses!! and a Golden Retriever!

2400 SQ with a detached Garage (2.5 cars) and a shed.  And it took marrying my wife to fill them up! (The house has rooms for my 4 children when they visit).

I don't know my square footage, but we've got 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, LOTS of storage closets, laundry room, large-ish kitchen, dining room, long living room (half converted into a nursery), and a 1 car garage.

Thank you very much, US Army.

My honey and I live in a townhome: 2 bedrooms (both upstairs), 1 and a half baths...the living room, dining area, and kitchen are all pretty much one room. Next to our kitchen is the den (or as we call it, the "TV" room...biggest room in the house and where washer/dryer are). We also have a decent sized backyard I have plans for...it's pathetic looking right now.

Some people may call the place small, but I like to refer to it as cozy.

I have a 3 bedroomed house up on a hill overlooking the sea.

It is too big for me, would prefer something smaller, but would like loads of land with it for ponies, sheep, alpacas etc! Oh chickens don't for get the chickens for the fresh eggs.

Oh and no grass around the house to cut would be great... mowing the lawn - just about the only thing a man would be good for in my life!

You can't have it both ways J. Cut your own grass.

Party at Jennifer's house with a view! Then we can hop to Doc's with all that space he has!

I think I live in a 1300 sq ft apt. It has four bed rooms, master bedroom incl., two baths, a laundry room, kitchen with a bar, the kitchen is a little bigger than a kitchenette, it's longer than it is wide. The living and dining is in one plus a bonus room that has no door, so it's one big L shape that's pretty wide.

Gee, my dream house would be about 4000 sq feet. Lots of space and a big yard with enough space for a deck, pool and a place for the kids to have fun. Oh and the kitchen would have to be custom made to the way we like it since we love to cook.

Don't go if you have a willie. You won't make it out alive.

I have a 2400 sq ft brick house not including the over sized two car attached garage.

We have 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a formal living room, formal entry, a huge family room adjoining a wonderful kitchen, a kitchen nook, a formal dining room, a sunny nice laundry room (that is big enough for some dusty exercise equip. heh.) And a butt kicking deck off the french doors in my family room.

We are a smidge under one acre with lots of apple trees and trees for shade and lots of sun for our garden. We have a shed in the shape of a barn and it has a loft for the kids to play in....its so big we call it the condo.
