My questions...your answers

I haven't been around for a while - again! Life gets busy I guess then slows down and here I am again.

Thanksgiving was good. I have lots to be thankful for.

Christmas was good. I got exactly what I wanted.

New Year's Eve was fun, or funny, or pathetic. I'm not sure which. While my husband slept through the ball drop I was partying it up with a couple of neighbors. Me, 35, Dave, 56, and Sylvia, 75. We ate, drank, played cards, ate, drank, played cards and then toasted in the New Year. I had fun anyway. I guess that's all that matters. They are good, caring people.

Sylvia grew up in London. It's fascinating to hear her talk about being sent away during the war. While she was gone her mother got remarried and had children - whom she didn't send away. I wonder, but have never asked, how could that possilby make a young girl feel? Exiled while her mother replaced her? Anyway, off on a tangent.... We toasted in the New Year in London at 7pm here.

What else????

Ummm... I'm taking classes at SVSU. I'm working on a second bachelor's in English (first one was engineering -booo!). When I grow up I think I want to teach English at the two-year college level. So I'm taking an on-line lit class at Delta and also three lit classes at SVSU. I hope I won't be too busy to hang around here.

Ummm... Simon's gotten very big. He had his nads removed in December. Everything went find and he's healed up well enough. He's up to 10 lbs now and he's only 6 months old. He's just so cute and cuddley(sp?). He also seems to be part mountain goat. He loves to climb. I'm not talking normal bunny jumping here. Honestly, he wants to be king of the mountain. He jumps up in my chair and then onto my desk. Every single computer cable is now wrapped in electrical tape. Even my network cable is spliced together. I'd post pictures of the bugger if only I could find my camera cord. I think he's devoured it!

His other favorite pasttime (other than chewing and climbing) is trying to get on the other side of the gate. There's a gate across the door to keep him in my office. He always wants out and sometimes successfully shakes it loose. The funny think is that if I shut the gate on him he simply works to get back in. He doesn't even take time to enjoy the freedom of the rest of the basement. I guess his life is better on the other side of the gate no matter where he is.

All the other animals are doing fine too.

Sooo I guess that's it for now.
